I picked up my first guitar when I was nine after being inspired by my Year 4 teacher, Mr Chell. What began as weekly lessons soon became countless hours learning songs and developing a passion that has shaped so much of my life.

At sixteen, my friend Kelsi and I started our first band, Tangible Titans, during a soccer trip to Wellington. We released two albums, performed throughout the Bay of Plenty and Waikato, and raised money for Homes of Hope through our music.

In 2013, while teaching together at Katikati College, Billy and I began performing as an acoustic duo. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of playing at more than 100 weddings, alongside many restaurants, private functions and community events.

Wedding gig life toned back when our son Jordie was born, and took a further back seat for a while during COVID. But while I was home with my second child Maia, I discovered live looping. Building songs one layer at a time reignited my creativity and gave me the confidence to step back onto the stage as a solo performer, alongside my reignited band Stolen Jukebox.

With the birth of our third child, Arlo, my musical journey is evolving once again. Alongside performing at pubs, markets, weddings and private events, I’m beginning to explore the world of children’s music again—a journey that feels like coming full circle from where it all began with Tangible Titans.
